Graduation season is coming up fast, personally I graduate in just under 3 weeks. I still can’t believe it, when the cap and gown arrived the other day it became so real. Lot’s of things go in to graduation, you need a dress, shoes, jewelry and a creative graduation cap quote or decoration.
Dress:
Personally I struggled to find a graduation dress. Long dress are very in style this season but that just does not work with a gown. Finally after filtering through many many sites I found a dress. (It is included above, feel free to take a guess which one I picked). When I think graduation dress I think white dresses but part of me really wants to wear pink to so above I have included my favorite white dresses I have found as well as some great pink options.
Shoes:
To me picking out my graduation shoes was an easy choice. I have been saying since I was a freshman in college that I would be graduating in a designer shoe and personally that is exactly what I am doing. I purchased my graduation shoes last October and have been loving them ever since. They have only been worn in my house and for a few blog outfits but their true debut will be at graduation. I am so excited about them but I have included other shoes that I love for graduation. The Same Edelman Yaro Block heel greats the perfect graduation shoe, they are easy to walk in, match anything and you will wear them all the time. They are over $100 making them an investment but if you want the look without the price take the Lulu version will give you the same effect.
Jewelry:
I love a good earring, they make or break an outfit. A statement earring is always a good idea especially if you are wearing a white dress. Adding some color via your shoes or your jewelry will make your outfit more fun. Your look should be fun since graduation is fun and exciting. If a statement earring is not your thing a classic pearl earring is totally appropriate for this event too. The bottom right of the picture is two fun bracelet stacks that would work with a white dress. They also work with any outfit making them something you can dress up or down. As for the rings on the bottom left, I think they are both soo cute. The pearl ring is something I have been wanting for years but never found one that looked like the one I imagined in my head until this one. This ring for sure will be a my graduate gift guide next week!
Grad Caps:
The current debate I am having is whether I should decorate my grad cap or not. Below are a few quotes and Ideas I have:
- My monogram in the bottom corner
- Let your dream stay big and your worries stay small -Rascal Flatts
- I want adventure in the great wide somewhere — Beauty and the beast
- there’s million things I haven’t done, but just you wait — Hamilton
If you are decorating your cap remember, make sure you plan, practice and do it with enough time that it can dry before the ceremony! (oh, and don’t do it upside down!)
Congratulations if you are Graduating this spring and I hope you found some inspiration with in this post!
