The transition from summer to fall can be one of the hardest to dress for here on the jersey shore. One day it is 85 degrees, the next is 65. Or the morning is 65 and by the time you get out of work or school is is 80. Making the next week or two very hard to dress for. Layers are crucial. Below are three looks I will be wearing as the weather begins to transition from summer to fall.
Look 1:
This first look is what I plan on wearing on repeat over the next couple weeks, a dress and flats. The long sleeve of the dress are great for the chilly mornings but won’t make you over heat in the afternoons. Having sleeves is also great if your work place has air conditioning. Pairing your fall dresses with flats or mules creates the perfect transition look before its time to pull out all the booties and boots.
Look 2:
This next look is a look I will be wearing to fieldwork this week for sure. These blue pants are so comfortable yet look professional. Here I paired them with a white short sleeve blouse. This looks is the opposite idea of the dress look above. Since I’m wearing pants, I paired them with a short sleeve top which will be helpful when the afternoons are hot but the mornings are chilly. Paring pants with a sleeveless or short sleeve top creates an easy transition look.
Look 3:
This last transitional look is perfect for casual Fridays, which I look forward to each week because I love jeans. These light wash jeans bring summer vibes when paired with a long sleeves creating the perfect transition look. This top will work now as the weather transitions but also paired with a cute boot when the winter kicks in.
Transition outfits are a must in the month of September, especially here on the Jersey Shore. As much as I want to break out the sweaters its still a bit premature since by the end of the day I will be sweating. Stay tune for more transition looks on Wednesday.
