Happy Monday! Graduation is looking a little different this year but that doesn’t mean the class of 2020 doesn’t deserve a great gifts. This week Shannon and I are sharing some unique graduation gifts for your graduates.
High School Grad:
The transition from high school to college is a big one! here are 5 gifts that may help your high school graduate with this big transition!
1. A duffle bag/Weekender: My cousin gave me the large Vera Bradley duffle bag when I was in 13 years old and it has never failed me. I use this bag every time I go to and from school. It will definitely get a ton of use for your college student.
2. Jewelry Box: I love having options when it comes to jewelry and this Mark and Graham box is the perfect place to store it for a college students or any jewelry lover. It makes things easy to find and keeps everything in place when traveling to and from school. And you can monogram it so thats always a bonus.
3. Laptop Case: In College your laptop goes everywhere with you so having some sort of laptop case is so import. This one from Barrington Gifts is so perfect. You can personalize it to fit the personality of your graduate.
4. Airpods: Having a good pair of headphones is so important in college. Whether it is for watching your computer in the dorm room with you roommate or studying in the library. Airpods allow for just that.
5. Reusable water bottle: Many college campuses prefer their students not to have plastic water bottles so having a reusable one is a great thing. Campus are full of refill stations that allow students to refill their water bottle throughout the day. My two favorite are the Yeti Rambler and the Hydro Flask. Both come in some great color options!
College Grad:
1. Memberships: A new college graduate would appreciate a membership to Amazon Prime, some streaming services (Netflix, Hulu, Spotify, etc), or Class pass. If your graduate is moving to a new city a class pass membership would allow them to meet new people as well as try out a bunch of local workout studios under one membership.
2. A Watch: having a nice watch elevate any outfit. Personally I have an Apple Watch and a Daniel Wellington watch. Depending on my outfit and event I am attending helps me decided which to put on. I love my Apple Watch and having different bands allows it to work for both working out and professional outfits. Any graduate would love either watch.
3. A Professional Bag: Going from a college bag to a work bag could be a big jump so gifting them a professional bag will make them feel much more confident walking in to a new job. My go to professional bags are my Longchamp Large Le Pilage tote or my St. Anne Tote from Barrington.
4. Montraband Bracelet: I was gifted my first montraband a few years ago and I haven’t taken it off since. My bracelet says “Dream, Believe, Achieve” This website allows you to select a motivational phrase or a custom one.
Any Graduate:
1. Away Bag: The Bigger Carry-On is the perfect gift for any graduate. I have used this bag to travel on a plane, a care and a train. It even tumbled down an entire escalator without any damage. If your graduate loves to travel or has a new job that involves a lot of travel this is the perfect gift. This suitcase is on the steeper side when it comes to price but it is definitely worth the price.
2. Melsy’s Illustrations: I found Melsy’s back in December 2018 at her pop up shop at the Bryant Park Winter Village. I have 6 that hang in my room. Each piece of work can be personalized to fit your graduate with the correct hair color, skin color, and college name. This piece are perfect for both High school and college grads giving them some nice decor in where ever they end up next.
3. A framed picture: At any age a meaningful framed picture is the best gift. It carries on a memory from the previous chapter of the graduates life on to the next chapter they are begins. Plus it provides a bit of home to the graduate.
4. Apple Chairing Station: Plugs can be hard to come by in bedroom and dorm rooms so if your graduate is an apple product lover this charing station that charges all their devices at once is perfect for them. It charges their AirPods, iPhone and Apple Watch all at once.
5. A barefoot breams blanket: This blanket is perfect for any one but your graduate will definitely love it. I recently gave this blanked to my mom for Easter and since then my father, brother and I have used it just as much as her if not more. Your graduates roommates or family members will definitely be wishing they had this blanket.
