As 2020 comes to a close this week I look back on my favorite purchases from 2020. Since we are going in to the year 2021 I figured I would share 21 of my must haves from 2020. They range of my favorite make up products I discovered to bags and accessory. I have broken down my must haves into a few categories.
Amazon:
Muscle Massage Gun
My mom gave my dad this massage gun for Christmas, so we have only had it a week or so but it has quickly becomes a family favorite. It feels good not only on sore muscles, neck aches or any other aches but just as a great massage. We have not tried all the attachments yet because some of the scare my mom but in time we will. A great tool to have in the house. My mom had slept funny Christmas Eve and a few treatments with this throughout the day made all the difference.
Games: Splurt, Monopoly Deal and Pan am
It has been the year of games. These three are my favorite I have played this year. Pan am seemed confusing at first but ended up being really fun after we watched a YouTube how to. Splurt and Monopoly deal are to supper easy card games for 2 or more people!
Glass Tumbler with Straw
This tumbler was a late night influenced purchases from another Blogger I follow on Instagram. I loved that it was glass. I have a water bottle addiction some may say I buy a lot because I think they are cute. It drives my dad crazy since it takes up cabinet space. I like this one because its a good size for next to my bed at night and it has a lid so I don’t have to worry about it spilling.
AirPod Pros
I purchased these last summer for online clinic and class. I used them more when I was walking around then I did for class since I was alone in my office for class. I find these a useful purchase I have made. I am excited to use them more and more as the world becomes normal again and travel can start up.
Everything Seasoning
This one is a little random but I love it so much. I use Everything Seasoning on eggs, toast and breakfast sandwiches. It brings the bagel feel to everything I eat even when there is no bagel. It came in handy when I was away at school in Pennsylvania and the bagels where not up to par.
Hair Wrap
I received my first one of these last year and loved it. It makes wet hair no long a chore. Since I mostly hair dry my hair it stays wet for ages. Recently got this one and it makes all the difference. It is so much better then the first one and stays on my head for hours while my hair drys. The best part is I do not end up leaving a wet towel some where around the house that my parents don’t want one.
Shoes:
Marc Fisher Booties
These booties have become my favorite pair of booties I have ever purchased. I got them during the Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale over the summer and I wore them all fall. These bootie will be in heavy rotation throughout the rest of the winter and for years to come.
Rothy’s
My Rothy’s sneaker are the shoes I never knew I needed. My mom purchased them for me during a sale they were having in the middle of quarantine. I wear these shoes daily. They are extremely comfortable and durable. They are machine washable and come out looking brand new each time. I wrote a longer post all about them here.
Clothes:
Dudley Stephans
Leading in to the fall I was seeing people rave about these Dudley stephans and I totally get the hype now that I have one. I wear mine with jeans or leggings all the time. It has been in heavy rotation this fall and winter since it allows me to be both stylish and comfortable while working or doing school from home.
J crew classic roll neck sweater
I included this sweater because it is timeless. I can wear it basically all year round since it looks cute with shorts for chilly summer nights and then keeps me warm in the middle of the winter when its freezing.
Shep shirts
I have had a love for Shep shirts since freshman year of high school. They always made me feel a little more dressed then a normal sweatshirt. This year I grew a new love for then because I could wear them for clinic and look professional on Zoom even if I just had shorts or sweats on my bottom half. My Shep Shirts are something I pull all the time to wear.
Patagonia vest
This vest is a favorite of mine because it goes with everything. I wear this vest weekly whether it be over a sweater when I don’t feel like wearing a coat or to dress up a plain t shirt.
Bags
Lisi Lerch Bow Bag
Straw bags have become on of my favorite summer pieces. Between my mom and I we have quite the collection. From new ones we purchased to vintage ones from family members. I love them all but my Lisi Lerch Bow Bag has a special place in my heart. The bow allows for a statement while still being subtle. I can not wait for this summer with a more normal world full of opportunities to use this bag even more. Here is my full blog post on this bag!
Barrington Gifts St. Anne Tote
It would not be my 2020 shopping list without my Barrington bag. I purchased this bag in 2019 but it did not disappoint. I don’t think any of Barrington Gifts products could disappoint but this one is what I imagine the Louis Vuitton never full is like but a fraction of the price and completely personal to your style. Here is my full blog post about this bag.
Large Longchamp
This bag has been my other favorite for years, since high school actually when Shannon, from The SK way had one freshman year and raved about it. I like that it has a zipper, long handles and fits what ever you need. This bag packs well for traveling or even makes a great carry on. I have used it both ways and will continue to use it well in to 2021.
Beauty
Living Proof Dry Shampoo
I thought dry shampoo was a myth until I tried this one. It works like a charm. I spray it one at night and massage it all in, throw it in a bun and go to sleep. When I wake up its like I washed it!
Living Proof Perfecting Spray
This spray helps with tangles as well as UV and some heat protection which is so important when using heat on your hair. I shake it, spray it in damp hair and then brush through then I am good to go when blow drying, flat ironing or curling.
Shape Tape; Shade Fair Beige
I love this stuff. It looks good under or over your foundation or just on its own when you don’t want to go for the whole face of make up look. Tarte has a lot of great products and I am having a lot of fun trying them out, this one was winner for sure.
Maracuja Tinted Moisturizer; Shade 13B Fair-Light Beige
Sticking with the makeup tarte trend, this tinted moisturizer is amazing. It gives you that no make up make up look and still has a lot of coverage with out being heavy on your face.
Billie Razors
This may be one of my favorite things I tried in 2020. These razors are $9 to start and then as often as you need they sent you 4 more blades for $9. They allow for such a clean shave and are so much cheaper then all the razors in the store. I like that they come to my door and I do not have to remember to buy them. I even got my mom on to them and she loves them as well.
Tula cleanser
Tula is a really cool company, they have lots of great products including this cleanser. When you wash your face with it, it takes off all your make up as you wash your face. I like that is is really gentle on my skin and removes my make up without scrubbing and tugging on the skin. After you wash your face feels so clean and refreshed.
Wow! that was a long one! I hope you found something that caught your eye and if you made it to the end thank you! I hope you all have a Happy 2021 and it bring you everything you hope and more!
