Boy has it been a while since I sat down to write a blog post! School has been keeping me so busy. Since it is all online by the time I am done with class and homework I am so sick of looking at the computer screen. Anyway, welcome back to Em by the Sea I am so excited for this blog post and that you are here! I am back this week to share a fall wardrobe staple I find myself pull year after year.
Let’s talk all about ways to style the classic paper bag skirts from J Crew Factory. I have had these skirts in my closest since high school as more patterns come out I find my self adding to the collection. They are so simple, and a great closet staple.
I find my self pulling these skirts for so many different events and outfits over the fall and winter. I wear a size 00/0 in these skirts, they are elastic waist which provides great comfort for all day wear. I own the skirts in both sizes and I can’t not tell the difference. If you need a longer length then maybe go up a size. The best part is you can pair almost any shoe or top with these skirts. Below are three different paper bag skirt outfits!
Outfit 1:
This first outfit is a dark herringbone pattern. I paired it with a classic brown Teddie sweater also from J Crew Factory. I have also paired this skirt with a white button down and my baton heels (seen in Outfit 2). Depending where I was headed in this outfit I would also pair it with my wide brim fall hat.
Outfit 2:
My next outfit is this classic white three quarter sleeve sweater from Lonestar Southern’s Impeccable pig collection back in June. I paired the white sweater with my grey paper bag skirt. I would wear this to dinner or clinic if I was going in person. It provides a comfortable yet classic and professional look. Lastly I paired this with my Baton heels, I feel that they elevate the look from casual to a little more formal. Read all about my love for these shoes here!
Outfit 3:
My last outfit is my most worn skirt out of all three. This tan skirt has endless amount of possibilities when it comes to outfits. I have paired it with jean jackets, cardigans, vests and so many more different styles. Here I have it paired with a white tank top blouse and my navy flannel. To top it off I put on my go to fall booties and my fall wide brim hat.
J Crew Factory currently has three different color options for the fall paper bag skirts and they are all amazing! They are a purchase you defiantly won’t regret adding to your closet.
