It is a bit rainy here in New Jersey today but the need for a perfect beach bag is around the corner! Living at the beach for my entire life has allowed me to figure out exactly what I need to pack. I have created my never fail beach day packing list! I go back and forth between using a tote bag or a backpack for the beach. This summer so far I seem to be leaning towards my old Vineyards Vines backpack I used in High school. I just just throw it on my back, jump on my bike and ride down the road. Since, my family has a locker at the beach allow us to leave our umbrella and chairs at the beach. This makes going to the beach so easy!
Sunscreen!
First thing I make sure is in my beach bag is my sunscreen pouch. I have a full post about my go to sunscreens here. I always make sure in my sunscreen pouch I have a Sunbum spray and my glow stick for my face. Without these I would be as red as a lobster by the end of the day. Bringing me to the next thing I ensure I have going to the beach. I always make sure I have a hat of some sort. Whether it be a floppy straw hat or a baseball cap. I do not go to the beach without one or both of them.
Everything Else:
The next thing I pack depends on the day and my choice of cover up. If I am wearing a cover up dress, I always throw in a t shirt in my bag.Typically I bring a short and long sleeve T shirt just incase it gets breezy. I use this t-shirt after swimming or if I feel my shoulders starting to burn. As you can see the sun and I only get along for so long before I am burned. I do everything I can to avoid sunburn but sometimes it’s unavoidable.
After I make sure I have all my sun protection necessities. I move on to packing two towels, a water bottle and of course snacks. I make sure I use a larger water bottle to ensure I have enough water for the whole day. As for snacks I usually bring what ever I find in the house thats easy to pack and that doesn’t need to stay cold.

Now that my bag is packed and I have run down Beach day Packing list, I grab a pair of sunglasses and jump on my bike to head down to the beach. I am a strong believer that a day at the beach can do wonders for a person’s well being and since I can only go to the beach for 3-4 months out of the year I make sure to get as many days in as possible.
