The age old debate a preppy girl has each winter, which pair of boots are better? The LL Bean boot or Hunter Boots Original Tall Rain boots. I have had Hunters since high school. I received my first pair for Christmas in hot pink! After years of use and wear they began to crack, so when I saw another pink pair on sale last February I scooped them up and have been loving them ever since. As for my bean boots I received them freshman year of college for Christmas. They are very different then a pair of hunter boots. After a few winter of both I have compiled a list of pros and cons for both and picked a favorite!
Hunter Boots:
Pros:
- Lots of color options
- Lots of boot height options
- Water proof
- Easy on and off
- All year wear

Cons:
- A little chunky to wear all day
- Not super warm
- No support
- salt my cause cracking
LL Bean Boots:
Pros:
- Water proof
- More support than my Hunters
- Fun ways to style with socks
- Better for playing in the snow (since you are never too old to do that)
- Well made
Cons:
- Not warm at all
- Need to be laced and unlaced to put on and take off
- Winter only

In the end I reach for my hunters more than I reach for Bean boots. Especially since I can wear them all year and they are pink. Both make a great weatherproof boot for the snowy slushy winter months. Which boot do you prefer?
