November came and went too quickly, especially with classes coming to an end. I can not believe Thanksgiving is here it’s exciting but sad at the same time. Thanksgiving at my house is looking extremely different. In years past we get together with my dad’s whole family for a huge family party, all my aunts, uncles and cousins come and we have a blast. Due to the pandemic we are all doing our own things this year and not able to get together as family to celebrate. I am hoping next year all will be right in the world and we will be together again to celebrating. So this year it is just my parents, my brother and I but just because its small doesn’t mean you have to dress boring. Here are my four options for my Thanksgiving day.
Fancier Option:
This first dress is one of my favorites. It is from Red Dress and I think it has endless possibilities for places you could wear it. Thanksgiving dinner, work, a dinner party or just because you want to. I am wearing this dress in a size small, my true size. I paired it here with both brown knee high boots on the left and nude heels on the right. Create the perfect dressier Thanksgiving outfit by pairing a fall dress with a nice pair of boots or a heel and it will elevate your look to the next level.
Sweater Dress:
When I saw that sweater dresses were back in I was unsure how I felt about it. I had sweater dresses as a little girl and wearing them now I wonder why I ever stopped they are so comfortable. When I saw this one at Francesca’s a few week back, I knew I need to add it to my closet. I loved the color, the cables in the knit and the fact that it is not itchy. Here I paired it with my brown boots and a pearl necklace. I felt that this is a great piece that I can wear both for Thanksgiving and well into the Christmas season. I am wear a size XS. Similar to the first look, boots and a dress are the perfect option if you want a dresser look this Thanksgiving.
Causal 1:
Dress or jeans and a sweater for Thanksgiving dinner is a question I find my self asking year after year. Dresses have more room after you eat too much dinner but jeans also create such classic fall looks for the holiday. You could always undo a button if needed after dinner (hehe, as long as your sweater covers). Anyway, this look is made up of my favorite button fly jeans, a Teddie sweater and my go to ankle boots this fall. To top if off with this scarf. I love the colors of this scarf it’s both warm and the perfect attention to an outfit. I also loved it paired with my winter coat.
Casual 2:
Last up I paired my Dudley Stephans with my button fly jeans and my Baton Heels. This is an elevate casual look due to the shoes and the classic shape of the Dudley Stephans turtleneck. Though this presents a more casual look it still provides enough of an outfit to fit in no matter what the rest of your group is wearing.
Thanksgiving is 4 days away so I hope this post provides some last minute inspiration for your outfits come Thursday. I hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving not matter how different it is compared to previous Thanksgivings.
