I have been a long time Lilly Pulitzer lover. My mom dressed me in Lilly when I was little going to the tot dances with my cousins. The first Lilly outfit I can remember was the skort I got for my 15th birthday. Ever since then I have loved Lilly Pulitzer skirts and skorts. Each after party sale I look to enlarge my collection! I have two styles skirts and I love them both. The fun thing about these skirts are that they can be styled up or down. I have styled them for both fancier occasions and just going to hostess at the bar down the street.
Lilly Skirt Style:
Here I styled this skort with my Jack Rogers and a navy v neck. To complete this outfit for a day of running errands I would grab my Barrington bag and go!. My go to size for Lilly Pulitzer skirts is a 0, it fits true to size!
The next way I styled the this skort, with of course my go to tank and ruffle body suit that has become a summer staple this summer. It has made an appearance in many blog posts this month! (check it out here) I am wearing a small in the body suit, which is my typical size but I would say since it is Abercrombie it runs a little small so if you are in between sizes size up!
One other way I love to style the Lilly skort is with my Step shirt from Vineyard Vines, it allows for a warmer outfit on a chilly summer night as well as a comfortable outfit. I am wearing a Medium Shep shirt, I think they run a little small and shrink in the wash so I recommend sizing up.
Last here is my newest Lilly skirt I got last fall at the after party sale. I also paired it with my white body suit and Jack Rodgers. I have loved this outfit. In this Lilly skirt I am wear a small and I find that it runs a little big.
Lilly skirts a huge part of my typical summer wardrobe. I have definitely missed wear them this summer with no where to really go but with August starting tomorrow I am going to try and wear my Lilly and other summer outfits I love as much as I can before the weather turns to fall this summer!
