I am not a huge sports fan. I enjoy it in small doses and definitely need a reason to watch it. If I have to choose I prefer the college level of sports over professional and would rather watch in person then on a TV. On another note the super bowl is on Sunday, personally I enjoy the halftime show, the commercials, and the snacks. So today I am sharing a buffalo Chicken dip recipe I got from my cousin. She makes it and brings to lots of family parties and since we have not been able to have those this year I really missed it. Leading me to ask for it. I made it a few days ago and it was just as I remember. So I thought I would share with all of you if you are looking for an easy appetizer recipe for your super bowl gather or maybe even your Galantines day gathering the following week!
The Recipe is pretty simple!
- 1 block of cream cheese or 1 small tub of whipped cream cheese
- Chicken breast (Rotisserie or baked if bought raw)
- Bottle of franks red hot buffalo sauce
- Shredded mexican cheese mixed in
- Bake it at 350° until it’s melty and bubbly
Once the chicken is shredded and/or cooked. Throw everything in a bowl and mix it all together. Then bake! One mistake I made was putting cheese on top, it is definitely better if you mix the cheese all the way in. It was still good with the cheese on top but next time I will definitely mix it all the way in.
I serve with bread, crackers, and chips. It is a big hit at any event we have had it at and everyone always ends up eating what more of it than planed. I enjoy putting it on a sandwich as well when I don’t make it for a party.
With love by the sea,
