Over the years I have learned a lot about protecting my skin and doing what’s best for it. I am a person who has fair skin that burns easily. I can get a sunburn pretty quickly and the most part is it doesn’t turn to tan, I stay pale. Which my brother enjoys reminding me of daily in the summer months. So in my daily skin care routine I use an SPF, no matter what time of year it is. In this post you will see my everyday skin care routine.
I started using Tula’s products back in February. I was using random products before then. I finally decided to give Tula a try and I have loved their products. Back when I made my first order from them they did not have an SPF, but they came out with one a few months later and I was thrilled. Since that product came out my skincare has fully consisted of Tula products.
Yes, Tula is talked about by so many bloggers but it’s because their products are worth talking about. Tula was started by Dr. Roshini Raj, who is a gastroenterologist & probiotics expert. She released the benefits of probiotics for her patients skin and had a lightbulb moment. She believes that they are the best way to get balanced skin. Mixing the probiotics with clean and active ingredients set the products over the edge. They do a lot of research prior to putting a product out proving it has last benefits for your skin. Tula’s products include ingredients such as probiotics, blueberry, turmeric, chia seeds, vitamins, rosehip, and watermelon. The since behind these products can be found on their website here.
Morning!
Step 1: WASH!
Wash my face with Tula’s The Cult Classic. This cleanser is a gel cleanser that goes deep into your pores to improve your skin with out drying it.
Step 2:
If I have any breakouts I apply Acne spot treatment. This product rubs right in.
Step 3: Moisturize!
This step is so important to maintaining healthy skin. I have been using Tula’s Hydrating day and Night cream and I love it. I used to get really dry patches on my face and since I started using this cream I have not been getting dry skin. The best part is it is for day and night so you only need one product.
Step 4: SPF
Following moisturize I use SPF. I use Protect + Glow from Tula By fair the most important step in my skin care. The Tula SPF is SPF 30 and provides protection from UVA and UVB. It leaves a slight glow to your face that looks good under make up or with out make up. This SPF doesn’t feel like the sunscreen your mom lathered up on you as a kid and it smells a lot better. If I am going to spend time in the sun I bring sunscreen with me ad reapply throughout the day.
Step 5: Eye cream
My last step using the Rose Glow and Get it Eye Balm. This just brightens up under your eyes and gives you a cooling feeling.
Step 6: Make up
The best part of this skin care routine is it is very light on your face so you can put your make up right on top of it. If I am putting makeup on that day I use primer and my normal make up routine and it all goes on no problem. I either use Tula’s Face Filter Blurring & Moisturizing primer or the traditional one from Bare Minerals. I really like both but I have done my makeup with the the Tula primer that often since I have not gone any where with makeup on in a while. I will keep you posted on that but so far I really like it.
Night Time:
At night I do everything the same expect if I wore make up that day I start with a makeup wipe to remove all my makeup. The Cult Classic cleanser removes make up as well but I like to be extra sure I get it all off. Then I go on with the same skin care routine I did in the morning without the SPF.
Tula has a tone of different products. They sell them in value kits which allow for some big savings when buying their full sized products. Some Tula products I look forward to trying are the Super Calm Gentle Milk Cleanser, pro-glycolic 10% resurfacing toner, Brighten Up Smoothing Primer Gel, Makeup Melt Makeup Removing Balm and their newest product the deep exfoliating blackhead scrub. As I try more of Tula’s products I will share my thoughts on them. If you have tried any of the products listed or have suggestions for products I would love to hear, comment below!
